Tring to find a deleted .emix email

Hi- I have a Mac. I accidentally deleted (and then emptied my trash) an an important email. It is a .emix document. I have the full .emix address (a series of digits followed by .emix) and it appears to still be on my computer. Anyone know how I can recover/restore it? Thanks.
