Postby FriendInNeed » October 29, 2013, 2:23 pm

Hello, I havr recently got an older Homecast PVR device and it records videos in files with TP0 extension. Does any know some good app for Mac for playback of these files ? Thanks.

Not familiar with this file type, but have you tried VLC player for Mac? It literaly playbacks everything. We also have MPEG Streamclip for Mac in our database in the TP0 file type

I found this:
Probably KMPLayer could play .tp0 recorded videos by Homecas PVRs - http://www.kmplayer.com

Found on http://www.pvr-tools.com
Homecast applications - PVR tools:
The_KMPLayer - K-Multimedia Player - Play Homecast recordings on your Windows PC
DVR-Studio Light Homecast - Haenlein's Free Homecast version of this great video editor. You can edit ads and convert your Homecast .tp0 files to more common formats.
DVR-Studio Pro Homecast - Haenlein's 60-day trial Homecast version of this great video editor! Go from a Homecast .tp0 file to burn DVD with one application!

Sorry, it is for Windows PC.. not for mac.
But you can always use Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion to virtualize Windows on Mac.

Maybe it helps.
