how to open pkpass file

I have got several of these PKPASS files on my SDcard from my phone, but I'm not sure how they got there. Any idea how to open them ? I remember something about coupons.

I think you can open them with Apple Passpook and other apps. We have some info here http://www.file-extensions.org/pkpass-file-extension
