.gikumgh extension corrupted All files

Dear All,

any update or help in order to recover files having extensions abc.docx.gikumgh, abc.xlsx.gikumgh,abc.pdf.gikumgh. My all files gona converted to this new file extension and corrupted all data. Please help me.

I have a similar issue on one of my users computers.
It is not a gikumgh extension however.

The file extension I have been seeing is .qnighme
IE "filename.docx.qnighme"

Almost acts like a cryptolocker without the ransom note..

Please let me know if you find any solution

Hi, it maybe creates random file extension for encrypted files. We don't know what it is.

Probably only best solution to prevent this situation is backup all your data and system regularly with Acronis True Image or something like this and also store backup off-line.
There is no problem then to restore anything or go back in time and restore older versions of files.
