isx file extension for SimulationX

The most important file extension used by SimulationX is ".isx".
The files with this extension are zip compressed archives containing a Modelica-simulation model named "model.mo" in a human-readable ascii-format, files with simulation results in binary form and some files with content information.

SimulationX can also process pure Modelica models with the file extension ".mo" (see http://www.modelica.org). Processing includes reading of those files, graphical or textual editing and writing out the files in Modelica-conform format.

Furthermore, I would like to inform you that files with the extension ".sim" are not in a native format for SimulationX but for its predecessor ITISim. Nevertheless, SimulationX can read ".sim" files if ITISim is also installed on the system.

Files with extension ".sim" can be converted to those with extension ".isx" or ".ism" with the help of SimulationX.

The conversation between the file formats ".isx", ".ism" and ".mo" is also possible with SimulationX.

Note, that there is already an entry for SimulationX in your data base:
