Some Unity3D games that I have found (Grid Clickers, and Pokémon Unity) save content using the extension *.pkud with binary encoded C# variables. It's usually stored in a file named "playerData" and can either store up to three save files (from what I've seen in Pokémon Unity) or one save file, though with less data (from what I've seen in Grid Clickers). It's also stored in locallow application data.
Thanks,
