How to open SFM files

Open the file with it IrfanView by open with, send to or change the Open With program in Properties, then if you get the User Account Control click Yes, IrfanView will then say "SFM is a PNG file with the wrong format, do you want to change it?" Click Yes and There she is.
I guess it may work for some .sfm files, but it is not 100% guaranteed.
