Hi,
you have plenty of options:
you have plenty of options:
- If you have Apple Numbers software installed on your Mac, it can open/import Excel .xls or .xlsx files and then export to .numbers file format, save or print to PDF etc..
- There are free office suites like OpenOffice or NeoOffice (NeoOffice is the MacOS X version of OpenOffice). You can view and edit all Microsoft Office files, including Excel.
- You can use the Office Web Apps - you can access and share Office documents on-line with browser-based versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote.
This also allows you to edit Excel files. Microsoft free Live ID registration or LIVE ID account is required. - You can try to press spacebar on any excel file and view it in OS X Preview. You can only view the file, but you don't have to install any other software.
- You can buy original Microsoft Office for Mac

Re: How to convert Excel to any format readable on OS X
HI there
I am a new user of excel. And i am also looking for a powerful excel converter whch supports to convert Excel to PDF or some other readable image formats.
I got a free trial from another excel program:
http://www.rasteredge.com/how-to/csharp ... onverting/
But it is expensive for me.So is there any cheap excel converter for new users.
Thanks for any suggestion.

Hi there Nana111,
if you just want to convert something to PDF, use the File -> Print.. function in Excel and save it as a PDF document instead printing it on paper.
